IndigenousWays Festival - August 18th, 2023, from 5 - 9 PM MT
Legendary poet, Joy Harjo headlines our last event of the season. Joy is a renowned performer and writer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation who served three terms as the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States. Grammy-award-winning guitarist and engineer, Larry Mitchell will warm up the crowd with his skillful, mesmerizing guitar wizardry. Adding to the mix is American idol contestant, Charly Lowry (Lumbee/Tuscarora) who will sing and perform some familiar songs.
As always, at our family-friendly events, you can expect artist workshops, food trucks, Indigenous drumming, face painting, and Wise Fool Puppets.

Our summer series, the IndigenousWays Festival is back! We’re hosting three unique events showcasing leading Indigenous musicians, artisans, drummers, along with wisdom keepers, weavers and other performers.
Each month, the festival will feature one or more extraordinary main-stage performer. Some big names to look forward to include: Joy Harjo, internationally renowned performer and writer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, three-time US Poet Laureate, Robert Mirabal (Taos Pueblo) Grammy award winning musician;; Larry Mitchell (Blackfeet Nation & Black) - Grammy award winning producer and musician; Dr. Lyla June (Diné & Cheyenne Nations) - Musician, scholar, and community organizer; and Alex Rose Holiday (Diné) traditional singer.
