The Peace Center is proud to present Verse and Voices: A Convening of Poet Laureates, a day of poetry featuring former US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, NC Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green, former Kentucky Poet Laureate Crystal Wilkinson, former Poet Laureate of Columbia, SC Ed Madden, and Greenville’s very own Poet Laureate Glenis Redmond.
Poets and spoken word enthusiasts can discuss process and inspiration during the panel discussion with the Poet Laureates, moderated by Jonell Logan, Peace Center VP of Education and Community Engagement at 3 pm.
The evening event will feature readings by co-host Glenis Redmond, Jaki Shelton Green, Crystal Wilkinson, and Ed Madden with a keynote by former US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo.
Books written by the poet laureates will be provided for purchase by M. Judson Bookseller.
